Fees and charges

Scale of Charges

For current scale of charges, please see HERE.

These are applicable from 1 December 2024.

Fuel Prices

As of 1 January 2025, the UK Government has implemented the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) mandate as part of its pathway to sustainable aviation. This mandate, which aligns with similar legislation in EU member states, requires all aviation fuel suppliers in the UK to blend 2% SAF with jet fuel, which will increase over coming years.

As a result, a Mandate Compliance Fee (MCF) will be added to invoices from 1 January 2025. The MCF will be calculated based on:

  • The underlying market price of SAF
  • The mandated blending percentage (2% for 2025)
  • Distribution and operational costs

The exact MCF has not yet been determined and will be announced shortly.

Please note that this fee will apply to all suppliers of JET A1 fuel in the UK and, consequently, will affect all airports and operators.

For more details, please see the government legislation: The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligations (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) Order 2024

Notes & Policies

Charges are applicable to all aircraft. We reserve the right to adjust the charges of any service or facility without prior notification.

Home based operators are strongly encouraged to adopt ‘green’ technologies. For those operating electric aircraft there will be a 50% discount on landing fees, including block bookings for home operators.

All Instrument Training is subject to prior permission from ATC. We reserve the right to charge the fees specified in the Scale of Charges if an aircraft fails to arrive for, or cancels a pre-booked instrument training slot with less than 120 minutes notice.

Hangarage Charges

These are based on weight and dimensions, as per the Scale of Charges.

Administration Charges

Unless operators have account facilities with Gloucestershire Airport Ltd, all fees must be settled at the time of landing (or on the same day for approaches), otherwise they will be subject to an administration charge. Overdue accounts may be subject to debt recovery costs and interest charges as per late payment legislation.
